I
have to admit, it has been a while since I have written
a journal (well apparently now they are called 'Blogs'),
but I'm willing to give it a shot again.
Happy Holidays to anyone reading... did anyone go on vacation?
I didn't. I stayed at home, mostly in front of my computer,
while hoping that my design company would magically turn
into a success. I now realize why people don't start their
own companies - they just stay in Corporate America -
because starting a company is friggin' hard. And it takes
a lot of knowledge, patience, and especially MONEY. Sooo,
wish me luck on that, because I am going to give it a
shot... again.
Ummm so another thing that I did this weekend was watch
a ton of movies... most of which were decent, but one
of which (Envy) was pathetic. I couldn't even finish watching
it because sitting there watching Ben Stiller's pathetic
attempt at being jealous and Chistopher Walken's pathetic
attempt at being a poor drunk left me with a sense that
I could be doing something better with my time.
So Christmas was not as pleasant this year as it has been
in years past. Apparently there were underlying issues
amongst relatives that, of course, have to come out on
Christmas day. Forget picking up the telephone and resolving
it that way, I guess the best therapy is to verbally 'throw
down' in front of everyone in the room while "I Saw
Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" plays in the background.
And being that I would consider myself an innocent bystander,
I could feel the uncomfortability glowing from everyone
else in the room. Like "geez, how can I get outta
here without ending up in the middle of it?!?" Anyways,
Christmas is over, and I hope that next year there won't
be an even yuckier argument waiting in the wings. |
